Microsoft’s Exchange Direct Push feature on Exchange Server 2003 allows email and other Outlook data to communicate with a Windows Mobile 5 device. This system allows a company to push Outlook email, contacts, calendar and tasks out to any given number of handsets with a low total cost of ownership.
System Requirements To utilise Exchange Direct Push you must be running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 2. No third party software is required and no middleware involved. On the basis you already have Exchange 2003 this is a cost effective solution to implement from a server side perspective. Compatible PDA’s / devices A wide range of handsets from several manufacturers are supported with Exchange Direct Push.
